Get to know Melody.

Psychotherapist & Certified Expressive Arts Therapist, Brain Gym® Facilitator

Hello, and welcome. I’m Melody.

Sometimes life feels like being stuck in a dark tunnel or lost in a dense forest—overwhelmed and unsure
which way to turn. If that resonates with you, know that you are not alone. I have been there too, and I
can walk alongside you as you find your way forward. Together, we can journey toward the light and the
rainbow, discovering hope and renewed connection with yourself and others.

I have worked in Canada, Singapore, China, and the Caribbean, which has given me the privilege of
learning from many cultures and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds. My approach is culturally
sensitive and trauma-informed, creating safe and supportive spaces for healing and growth. I am
proficient in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Drawing from hands-on clinical experience, I have supported individuals, couples, and parents through
emotional and mental health challenges, family and interpersonal issues, self-identity and personal
growth, and behavioral or habit-related concerns.

As a Certified Expressive Arts Therapist, Brain Gym® Facilitator, and community educator, I am
passionate about introducing expressive arts (music, visual art, dance and movement, creative writing
etc.), sensory-based practices, and psychosomatic movement to the community and integrate them as
therapeutic interventions in my practices. My work is guided by a holistic wellness approach that nurtures
the mind–body–emotional connection and supports both personal growth and relational resilience.

Trained as a Gottman Seven Principles Leader, I specialize in relationship enrichment workshops which
help couples build healthy connection. I also support clients navigating post-divorce adjustment, recovery
from infidelity, and single parenting challenges, providing a compassionate space to heal, grow, and
reconnect.

Having worked in corporate settings, I understand the pressures of modern workplaces, and I can provide
counseling and coaching to support employees navigating stress, burnout, and life transitions. I also
collaborate with schools, hospitals, legal and social service systems, child protection services, shelters,
and halfway houses, creating compassionate networks to support client wellbeing.

I believe each client holds innate strengths, even when these are unseen or forgotten. The keys to
healing and change already lie within them. My role is to gently journey alongside, guiding, witnessing,
and celebrating their growth along the healing journey.

In my free time, you’ll often find me traveling, exploring new cultures and languages, visiting museums
and art galleries, or practicing the harp, all of which nourish my curiosity and creativity.

Feedback from Clients

Melody is patient and truly helpful in rebuilding our relationship. Her service was excellent.
— A couple from Sri Lanka

I really appreciate Melody’s effort in helping our family. She has made a significant difference in our
communication as a couple. My daughter has returned to school after more than two years of
absenteeism. She is also beginning to open up and is more willing to receive support from other
professionals. We want to continue to work with Melody.
— A Dad from Hong Kong

I never realized my creative potential until I joined Melody’s expressive and boundary workshop. I used to
worry about what others think of me and struggled to set boundaries, both at work and in life. After the
session, I can freely express my emotions without fear of judgment.
— A doctor from Japan

You have been wonderful and kind and supportive to my family. I cannot see enough thank you to
you.
– Physiotherapist from HK

I enjoy today’s workshop 100 percent. Thanks so much
– Mom from Philippine

I feel that I saw more clearly of my issues and how to communicate with others with respect and
politeness. I also learned how to express myself better, even though I still have other issues to
resolve, I will continue to learn.
– Dad from Canada

Thank you so much Melody for everything you do for us. It was truly a pleasure working with
someone as wonderful as you
– Couple from Canada
